    • Joanna was captured by the French and Indians, through her choice she remained among the Indians, marrying an Indian chief. Once she came to visit her half brother, Martin Kellogg, Jr., bringing some of her children with her. He tried to persuade her to stay with him, but she would not and returned to her Indian home. Rebecca remained with the Indians until she was grown.
