    Edwin H. Estrem
    Edwin H. Estrem, 74, of rural Dennison died Tuesday evening, Feb. 10, 1981, at Northfield Hospital.
    He was born on March 16, 1906, in Goodhue County, the son of Evan and Hansina (Hove) Estrem.
    He married Gilma Sparstad on November 5, 1939. The Estrems farmed in Goodhue County for many years. Estrem was also employed by St. Olaf College as head custodian for a number of years. Estrem was a life-long resident of the Dennison community and was a member of Vang Lutheran Church.
    Estrem is survived by wife, Gilma; three sons, Edwin, Jr., of Cloquet, Gary of Lakeville and Harlan of Welch; one daughter, Susan Grade (Mrs. Donald) of Beloit, Wis.; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Schuette of Cannon Falls, Mrs. Clara Schuette, Hilda Mechura (Mrs. Ed), and Mrs. Mabel lamberty, all of Northfield; five grandchildren.
    His parents, three brothers and one sister are deceased.
    The funeral service was held on Friday, Feb. 13, at Vang Lutheran Church in rural Dennison, the Rev. Richard Mork officiating. Mrs. Helen Midje served as the organist and Mrs. Ruth Legvold, the vocal soloist.
    Pallbearers were Clarence Sprstad (sic), Truman Mork, David Lamberty, Charles Umbanhowar, Willard Estrem and Joseph McGrath. Spring interment will be made in the church cemetery.

    Even J. Estrem
    Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, May 16, for Even J. Estrem, who died Tuesday morning, May 12, at his home in Warsaw township of heart trouble after an illness of five months. A short service was held at the home, followed by services in Vang churgh, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Adolph Egge. Mr. Egge spoke both in English and in Norwegian at the church. Mrs. Adolph Egge sang at the services in the church. A large number of relatives and friends were in attendance.
    Evan J. Estrem was born in Warsaw township July 30, 1870, and his parents were the late John and Sigrid Estrem. As a young child he was baptized in Vang church and in June, 1885, he was confirmed in the same church by the late Rev. J. N. Kildahl. On June 27, 1895, he was united in marriage to Miss Hansine Hove. Shortly after their marriage he purchased the farm home of O. I. Flaten, which since has been their home.
    Besides his wife, he is survived by nine children: Joseph of Stanton township, Helmer of Warsaw township, Sever of Northfield, Mrs. Henry Schuette of Farmington, Edwin at hame, Mrs. Edgar Schuette of Northfield, Mrs. Roman Lamberty of Northfield township, Mrs. Edward Mechura, St. Paul, and Mrs. Richard Rice, Northfield, and also twenty grandchildren. He leaves two sisters, Mrs. J. James McCurdy, St. Paul and Mrs. Marit Kolstad of Wangs.
    The internment was made in the Vang cemetery. The pallbearers were six of his friends and neighbors. Peter Fagen, Lars Midje, Carl Remme, John Pagel, H. H. Svien and J. E. Trench.

    ANTON ELVESTAD LAID TO REST
    A large number of relatives and friends attended the funeral services for Anton Elvestad, on November 15th at the Christiania Free Church with the Rev. M. Haakenstad officiating, and burial in the church cemetery.
    Pallbearers were six nephews, Fred, Martin, Axel, William, Edwin and Walter Frederickson. Mrs. John L. Larson was organist. Lyle Johnson a close neighbor of the family sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Nearer My God To Thee" at the church.
    Anton Elvestad passed away on November 12, 1953 at the Sanford hospital, where he had been a patient the last 2 months. He passed away on his Golden Wedding day, which he and his wife were to observe that day.
    He was born April 17, 1873 in Rode, Norway, and came to America at the age of 17 years. On November 12, 1903 he was united in marriage to Mina Christenson, and they lived most of their entire life in the Elko community.
    Survivors are his wife, and 6 children, namely: Milton of Farmington, Mrs. Oswald Nelson (Hazel) of near Northfield, Edwin of Lakeville, Idan of Farmington, Mrs. Raymond Larson (Annette) of near Northfield and Roy at home, also 10 grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Emilia Frederickson of Eidswold and one brother Kristian Elvestad of Norway. Three children, Hans, Olander, and Cora, and 6 brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

    Funeral services for Edwin Anderson were held Monday afternoon Dec. 2nd from Steeles Mortuary at 1:15 p.m. and from the West Christiania Lutheran church at 2 p.m. with Pastor E. E Hoff officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with six nephews as pallbearers, Henry, Arnold, Arthur and Raymond Anderson, Herman and Edman Storlie. Pastor Hoff sang 'Come Ye Disconsolate' at Steele's Mortuary and 'I'm but A Stranger Here' and 'Den Store Hvide Folak' at the church service. Edwin Anderson, son of Haaken and Mary Anderson was born June 30, 1885 on a farm in New Market township, Scott county. He was in failing health for the past several years and passed away at his home in Farmington on Thursday night, Nov. 28th at the age of 72 years and five months. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christiania Lutheran church and for many years served as caretaker at the West church. On October 30, 1917 he was united in marriage to Alma Wahl and to this union were born three children, Mildred, Luella and Agnes. They resided on their farm in New Market township, except for the past four winters being spent in Farmington where they had moved two months ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters who died in infancy, three brothers, Albert, Oscar and Elmer and one sister, Mrs. Sievert Storlie. He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, three daughters (Mildred) Mrs. Edwin Elvestad, and (Luella) Mrs. Milton Elvestad of Lakeville and (Agnes) Mrs. Marvin Madson of Farmington, also eight grandchildren, one brother, John, of Farmington, and a host of relatives and friends.
