    • "History of Renville County, Vol. II," published in 1916 states the following: "In 1891, Mr. Sparstad sold his farm to his oldest son, Thom, who now lives there, married Annie Gjivere, and moved onto her farm which is located near Vang's church in Holden township, Goodhue county. In October, 1915, they sold this farm, and on March 1, 1916, will occupy a residence which they have purchased in Kenyon."
