- John Dailey and Mary, his wife, John being one of the heirs and deviser of Peter Dailey deceased sells 15 acres and 1 rod in Tyler County to Edmund Riggs for $400.00, bounded partially by Esau Dailey on the north and Jacob Dailey on the south, on the banks of the Ohio River, being part of a tract of land 120 acres. Purchased of Robert Woods by the same Peter Dailey.

- Two death dates have been reported for John W. Dailey, 1856 and 1873. I tend to think that the 1873 is correct as his wife Mary who died in 1865 is buried in Rio. Had John died in 1856 he probably would have been buried either there or in Ohio. As he is supposedly buried in Iowa I think the later date is more correct. See letters from Austin Dailey to Mabel Crawford.
