On Sept. 15, 1918, Albert registered for the WWI draft. He states he was born Sep. 15, 1885, is a farm laborer working for George Volkhart in LeRoy, MN. His nearest relative is listed as Marie Geiger, his mother who lives in LeRoy, Minn. The registrar indicates he is tall, slender, has brown eyes and light brown hair. To the question as to whether the person has a missing limb or is obviously physically disqualified the writes, "none except quite deaf."

Died:
Death certificate states the following: "Deceased was shocking grain and died alone in the field. It was a very hot day." Cause of death, "probably sunstroke."
