I have been unable to find information about Wellington that can be proved. Some researchers show his death in 1891. The 1880 and 1900 census show a Wellington Sherwood in Dakota Territory and Alaska respectively. The age is correct for this guy but he always give his birthplace and that of his parents as NY, which is wrong.
