7201 Isaac Kennan, Yeoman, in consideration of 50 Pounds Sterling, conveys to George Kennan of Charlemont, gentleman, 50 acres of land on the bank of Deerfield River. KENNAN, George (I5458)

7202 ISAAC N. DRAKE, came to Nebraska city in February, 1857, and engaged in mason work, which he has continued almost uninterruptedly. From 1862 to 1868 he was in Oregon and Idaho, mining and working on Fort Boise. In June, 1868, he worked on the U. P. R. R., building culverts and kept at this until December, when he returned to Nebraska city. He is also interested in farming, having a farm two miles southwest of the city. He was born twelve miles east of Louisville, Ky., December 14, 1829, and lived there until he came to Nebraska. He has worked on many of the principal buildings here. He is a member of A., F. & A. M., and of the Baptist Church. DRAKE, Isaac N. (I17573)

7203 Isabel died from complications of childbirth. The child Emme was baptized on Aug. 8, 1560 and was buried on August 11, 1560, a day before her mother. KYTHIN, Isabel (I5018)

7204 Isabelle Bliss is a 7th cousin to the subjects of this genealogy. She is an ancestor to subjects maternal grandmother. Jonathan an ancester to subjects maternal grandfather.
Her sister Hettie's husband, Jonathan Crawford is an uncle to Isabelle's husband Marquis.
Family: Marquis DeLafayette CRAWFORD / Isabelle Mary BLISS (F5979)

7205 Isette Burte, in her nuncupative will gave all her goods toher daughters, Agnes Burt and Elizabeth Burt, whom she made her executors. Her estate (personal property only) was appraised at L9.13.4. UNKNOWN, Isett (I1805)

7206 It appears as if Albert moved closer to town after his marriage to Clarinda as he is shown in Quincy Township on all subsequent census records. The property is on the northern edge of the town of Corning across the road from the cemetery. KENNON, Albert Gallatin (I502)

7207 It appears as if Russell's mother died at childbirth or shortly thereafter. Russell appears to live with his grandparents until adulthood. ALMQUIST, Russell Victor (I22048)

7208 It is doubtful that Thomas ever married. Savage (2:81) under Dunham states that Thomas of Plymouth, perhaps son of John, married Martha Knott, daughter of George, and everyone seems to have copied this. It is repeated in the Dunham Genealogy (I. W. Dunham, 1907). We learn from the nuncupative will, 1 May 1648, of George Knott of Sandwich (Plymouth Col. Wills 1:82) that he bequeathed his leather suit to Thomas Dunham "in case of his marrying my daughter." Hence they were not married in May 1648. Next we learn from Plymouth Colony Records (2:136) that 4 Oct. 1648, "The court have ordered, concerning Thomas Dunham that he abstaine from coming atte or sending unto Martha Knote of Sandwidge from this present day until the first Tuesday of Desember next, untell the court can better deserne the treuth of his pretended contracte with the said Martha Knot, unless the Governer, uppon clearing of thinges, shall give him leave." Thomas never married Martha Knott. Two years later the following was recorded, "1650 Sandwige Regester of Marriages: Thomas Tobye and Martha Knott were maried the 18th of November." She became the mother of seven sons who lived to maturity. Her mother died in 1673/4 and her will, exhibited to the Court at Plymouth 5 Mar 1673/4, names her daughter Martha Tobey, wife of Thomas. Probably they were Quakers and that may have been why Thomas Dunham did not marry her. DUNHAM, Thomas (I1709)

7209 It is frequently stated that Peter married Rachel Newby., daughter of Nathan and Elizabeth (Hollowell) Newby. There is no evidence in Quaker records checked by compiler or in a 'Newby Genealogy,' privately commissioned by the late Nancy Esther Hutchins Hineman, compiled by the late William Perry Johnson, to indicate this is true. Peter Pearson's will names Nathan Newby brother of Rachel Newby as 'brother.'

Peter Pearsons will names "my seven children" and Rachel Pearsons will names "my six children." Nathan Pearson having predeceased her. Bailey Pearson is nowhere named, giving rise to the possibility that his name was a miscopied version of "Betty."
Family: Peter PEARSON / Rachel NEWBY (F1417)

7210 It is likely Sarah died young as land intended for her was given to her sister Rebecca. BILLINGSLEY, Sarah (I635)

7211 It is recorded that Abijah was "slain by Indians." BARTLETT, Abijah (I8499)

7212 It is said that Martin, who ran a general store in Mount Pleasant commissioned a sign to be painted for his store and that the last name was misspelled "Prentiss" and that rather than change the sign, he changed his name.

Martin is not shown with a general store until the 1900 census, prior to that his occupation is always listed as Shoe and Boot maker. I every census prior to 1900 his name is shown as Prentiss, so the family story may or may not be true.
PRENTISS, Martin Sr. (I26440)

7213 It is thought that Charles McIntire and William McIntire are brothers and the sons of David and Margaret McIntire. William was born at sea while the family immigrated. That oral history came down in Charles's family and William's family independent of each other. MCINTIRE, William (I3473)

7215 It's hard to guess the real year Nina was born, she always records March 26 but the year changes. Her autobiography does say March 26 but no year, indeed there are no dates at all in the book. I have selected 1844 as most correct, 1838 is before her parents are married and 1844 is two years after the birth of her brother.

1869 passport application, age 23, born March 26, 1844
1900 Federal census, age 47, born March 1853.
1910 Federal census, age 65, ca 1845
1920 Federal census, age 66, ca 1854

7216 Jacques Archambault, his wife Francoise Touralt age 47, and his children came from France and landed in Quebec, Canada. They arrived at Québec, with Pierre Legardeur de Repentigny, director of the new Compagnie des habitants; perhaps on August 5, 1645; but more probably on September 23, 1646. His children were Denis age 17, Anne age 16, Jacquette age 15, Marie, age 11, Laurent age 5, Marie age 3 and Louise.

He was a Well Driller and dug the first well in Montreal. A plaque commemorating this was erected. There are several plaques erected to commemorate the life and deeds of Jacques Archambault. There is also a road in Dompierre, France that was the road the Archambault family traveled to go to Church at St Xandre from Dompierre Sur-Mer.

7241 John and Daisy were married in Bedford, Iowa in 1908, their daughter Phyllis was born in 1909. They are present together in the 1910 census.

John is found in the 1920 census living in Montana with his second wife Katie Maud Ryker and their son Homer who was born in February of 1917.

Daisy is found in the 1925 state census living with her sister Lois. With her are her daughter's Phyllis and June. June was born in June of 1918. In this census and all subsequent census she gives her marital status as widow.

John's second wife Katie Ryker Cole marries for a second time in Iowa. In 1923, at the age of 45 she marries a 69 year old man.

Thus it would appear that John and Daisy were divorced early in their marriage, Daisy never remarries but has a child in 1918. John remarries Katie, she had a child in 1917. John and Katie appear to divorce by 1923 when Katie marries a second time.
