  	John Bliss built a house in Northampton, Mass. in 1958 for his sister Mary Bliss Parsons. The structure is now (1981) owned by the Northampton Historical Society.

  	John and Patience (Burt) Bliss removed in 1672 to Northhampton, Mass. They were there during John's sister's famous trial for witchcraft and returned to Springfield near the close of 1685. They afterward removed to Longmeadow.
