Will: Will of John Howe In the Name of God Amen I John Howe of Plattsburgh in the county of Clinton State of New York being week in body but of sound memory blessed be God doth this day in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen make this my last will and testimony in manner following that is to say. 1st I give my body to the dust from whence it came and my spirit to God who gave it 2nd I wish all my honest debts to be paid 3rd I will to my wife Lydia one horse saddle & bridle my Cutter and harness two cows and fifteen sheep and all the things that she brot when she came to live with me together with all her wearing apparel and also one half of all the bed and bedding that she has made since she has lived with me and also five notes against Leonard Greeno which he gave to my wife Lydia 4th I will to my son Ira five shilling 5th I will to my son Eri my best suit of cloths and a pair of two year old steers 6th I will to my other children Viz. Dualana, Samuel, Chloe, Kezia, John, Martha, Esther, and Althea all the rest of my estate to be equally divided excepting my sermon book great Bible and the red chest with drawers which I will as follows: the sermon book to Samuel, the great Bible to John & the red chest with drawers to Kezia, and I make and ordain my sons Samuel & John soul Executors of this my last will in trust for the intent and purpose contained. In Witness where of I have hear unto set my land and seal this third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred thirteen John Howe Signed and sealed in the presence of David Howes and Baruch Beckwith. An industrious and much esteemed citizen, a faithful friend and an honest man; but being for many years afflicted with disease of body, which ultimately impaired his mental faculties so as in a great measure to incapacitate him from his general business habits.

Obituary: Minneapolis Star Tribune Kennon, Suzanne Vivian Satterlee Was born September 3, 1924 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and died at home on November 9, 2008 in Altadena, California, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ralph Crawford Kennon; children, [HID:]Randall Kennon (Kathryn Smith), Marnia Kennon (Walter Kenneth Barger), Stacey Kennon (Charles Lada), Celeste Rodgers (Paul Rodgers);[:HID]and five grandchildren. Mrs. Kennon was born in Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Frances Mae Satterlee and August Norman Satterlee. She graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis, class of 1942, and from the University of Minnesota, class of 1947, with a Liberal Arts degree. She jointed the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority while at the university, and was a loyal member for 65 years. Mrs. Kennon had lived in Minnesota, Louisiana and Rome, Italy before settling in Altadena with her family more than fifty years ago. Mrs. Kennon did several years of volunteer work at the Huntington Memorial Hospital of Pasadena, California. Throughout her active and productive life, she was an avid bridge player and excelled at sewing, knitting and needlepoint. Mrs. Kennon will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
